Factory Data Reset:

The first and the easiest way to fix the “Chromecast Reconnect Me” is to Reset it to its Factory Defaults. Don’t worry, the Factory Data Reset won’t delete any of your Apps Data, it will simply drag the Updated Settings to the Default one.
To do this, follow the simple steps:
  • Hold down the button on the back of your Chromecast for almost about 25 seconds.
  • Once the TV Screen goes blank you can let go and for it to clear its memory.

Reset your Modem/Router:

First of all, turn your Modem and Router Off, and disconnect them from the Power too. Wait for 10 seconds and then reconnect the Power Supply only. Now switch on your Modem first and then the Router. After both of them turns on, wait for 30 seconds to 1 minute more and then connect the Chromecast.

Use the Extender:

You have been provided with a short HDMI Extender Cable in the box with your Chromecast. The purpose of this cable is to give your Chromecast a little more breathing room to detect your Wi-Fi Network more accurately.

Move your Router:

If your Router is at a distant place of your house or it is in such an angle of your house that it finds difficult to connect with the Chromecast, then its time for it to have a change in the position.
Also, you can get a Wi-Fi Extender or a separate Wi-Fi Router to place near the Chromecast.

Update your Router’s Firmware:

When you Login to your Router’s Settings menu, there may be a notification regarding the Router’s Firmware Update. If there is any such notification then click on it. After the Update, it will improve your Network Security from External Threats.
